Christin Freitag is a director and writer, born at the Baltic Sea in Germany.
She is a graduate of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. Her first documentary Festivities, about her grandparents, won the German Short Film Award in 2012.
Her feature debut Let The Bell Ring, set in the boxing scene of California, was nominated for the German Newcomer Award FIRST STEPS in 2018. The film had its international premiere at the Film Festival in Zürich and was awarded at its German premiere at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis. It won Best Student Picture, Best Cinematography and the Audience Award at its North American premiere at the DOC L.A.
